What are Biomechanics Qualitative Analysis for Sports?

What are Biomechanics Qualitative Analysis (QA) for Sports?
....and why do you need to know how to do it?
Because that's where the gap in sports analytics is....
quantifying the qualitative.
If I were to stake my career on one statement right now it would be that in order to be successful in sports analytics you have to be able to quantify the qualitative.
Why?
Because there are a lot of people and machines writing tons of predictive equations based on box stats/historical data. The gap lies in being able to determine what is going on in real time (biomechanics qualitative analysis) and then blending that knowledge with historical data and current conditions to come up with unique, live decision-ready analytics.
